Do you actually believe that the powers that be are intimated by the largely untrained and totally disorganized gun owners in this country?

When they have at their disposal local police forces, State police forces, sheriffs' officers, the National Guard; all highly trained and with lots of fire power. And looming in the background the U.S. military.

And who would organize, muster, and lead these stalwart, gun owning citizens if they felt the need to move against their government?

As for me, I think I'll depend on the checks and balances the founders built in to our system of government. They've worked pretty well for over 200 years.
