Default Speaking of real time debates...

Once we have a clear Dem and Repub nominee, and they debate on national television... we can do that again.

Basically we designate one person to give a synopsis of the Dem, and one to represent the Repub. On the night of the debate, they watch the television and open a thread. They each do a running commentary on that same thread as the debate plays out.

Other users can join in too. Someone (third party) can post the question asked by the debate moderator, etc... and off it goes. After the debate ends, there's usually a multi page thread with lots of funny comments and spin off debates as well from it.

During the Bush Re-election campaign, I was the rep for him. I forget who the other user was for Kerry, but I do distinctly remember having to focus in on Bush's answers and my take on them. I couldn't stop to read other posts until after it was all over. It was a lot of fun.
