The poor arab states which surround Israel have invaded it in two wars in the last 60 years, some of which have never declared a ceasefire, while others refuse to even acknowledge Israel's existence. I think such a state of affairs would make me apprehensive too.

I have no issue with Israel having ICBM's. They've never used them, nor have they threatened to use them, against anyone on earth or mars. However, one thing is certain, Iran has been increasingly bellicose against the state of Israel, even though Israel has done nothing, nor said anything, to harm that country's interests.
