The Government welcomes this recommendation. The Home Office is currently reviewing data reported by police forces to the Department. The Office of Criminal Justice Reform is currently reviewing the minimum dataset published annually by the Home Office under section 95 of the Criminal Justice Act. We are also currently working with police forces to identify better and more consistent ways of collecting and managing data on hate crimes including anti-Semitic incidents and crimes. This should be in place by 2008-09.
