David, I wouldn't be embarrassed. I don't disagree that there are several morally and behaviourally questionable indigenous people. I just also realise that they are not representative of the whole, and that this kind of behaviour and representation is not specific to a particular race - as your posts and language illustrate.
And my first degree was in Linguistics and Philosophy - so unfortunately for you I know exactly what you are talking about. It's just a fancy way of saying `I'm really selfish'. Lucky you. However, I'm not sure that you fully understand objectivism - if you did, you would fully support the rights and actions of the Aboriginal community to pursue their own self-fulfillment and happiness.
Which brings us to the next question. Why WOULD you be financially responsible for their compensation? Any more so than for any other compensation lawsuit?
There is only one person embarrassing themselves in this discussion and it isn't me.
