Now, let's turn this around. If I, as an atheist, were to say "Religious people tend to annoy me in general", wouldn't that be seen as inflamatory or rude? Doesn't sound very nice either way. Lumping everyone together as "they" is wrong as well. Neither I, nor any other atheists I know, cling to "absolutes". All atheism is, by definition, is lacking a belief in god or gods...nothing more, nothing less. Anything else is just the variety of human beings on the planet.
