To understand why Obama needs tougher scrutiny now, we need only recall his political avatar, President John F. Kennedy. Like Obama, JFK had served a relatively short time in the Senate without compiling a significant legislative record. He was young and charismatic, but uncertain in his foreign and domestic policies, and during his first 18 months JFK was often rebuffed at home and abroad. The CIA suckered him into a half-baked invasion of Cuba. And Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev concluded after an initial meeting that Kennedy was so weak and uncertain that he could be pushed around -- a judgment that led to the Cuban missile crisis.

notice the comparison to JFK ... only to then try to tie Obama to the cuban crisis ... something that ocurred when Obama was only one year old
and the article would allow one to view the cuban missle crisis as a negative for the untested JFK, when in fact it was he who backed down the soviets. this refusal to blink when confronted by communist nuclear power, more than anything reagan or any other president who followed, was most responsible for the ultimate demise of our arch rival, the soviet union. it was the beginning of the end for the USSR
amazing how the racists will grasp at any straw, however feeble, to paint Obama in the most negative possible light.
