It's the only line they have. What I realized loud and clear watching the pundits scratch the heads over the last few weeks, is the "problem" with
this election is the public is actually DECIDING. The Republicans didn't want McCain, too bad, the voters obviously did, at least more than they wanted
any of the other options.
On the Democratic side, the party hacks made peace with the idea of
Hillary eventually being the nominee as soon as Bills term was over.
Alot of Democrats have been working hard over the last 8 years to come
to terms with that as well. Only then along came this young guy with
no experience and the audacity to think he could make a difference.
All was well until he actually starting winning. Not because the party
hacks and pundits approved him, because the voters decided.
It's killing the hacks on both sides that they can't have their way.
Maybe we actually do have something to thank George W. Bush for,
after all. After 8 years of his Administrations lies, cover ups and screw
ups, America finally pulled themselves away from American Idol long
enough to figure out there just may be something more important to vote for. America is mad as hell and not going to take it any more.
McCain is the nominee for all intents and purposes. Oh and Rush, Anne
and the rest of you nutjobs, you're right, he's not really a conservative.
Bites doesn't it?
Obama will be the nominee of the Democratic Party, even if they have
to drag Hillary kicking and screaming from the convention. Even the
Democrats aren't stupid enough to screw it up this time.
Two decent, honorable men, with vastly different views on many subjects will run against each other this year. In spite of the nutjobs and hacks.
See, I understand exactly what Michelle Obama was saying in her now
famous mistep. This is the first time in my adult life I've actually been
proud of Americans voting habits. On both sides. We are deciding this
time! Finally.
