Default Real Threat

I'm sure there are many reasons why people want to ban guns. Some people have been terrorized by someone with a gun. Some people grew up over-sheltered. Some people grew up with parents who hated guns and that's all they know to feel about them. Some people stereotype gun lovers with gang members or right wing anti-government types. Some people have survived horrific wars and have seen what guns can do when abused.

This is why education about guns is important. Ignorance towards guns further promotes a lack of respect for a device that demands respect in order to be used in a meaningful and responsible manner. Even if guns are banned, they will never go away. Someone will have them and someone will abuse others with them. So, once again, education is the key. Balance of power is a necessity. Don't ever give up your right to bear arms. It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Cliche, but so true.
