You offer your labor for money, it is an exchange. If you have a problem with it, you are free to take your labor elsewhere, government has no right to interfere with the free market, even IF Walgreen's [not collectively] does stuff like this.
If I'm a black guy, if I'm chosen to work at a chosen location, I will think: Do I want to work at this location? If so, I do my job. If not, I request a transfer. Is that so difficult? If the company doesn't satisfy my requirements, I take my business elsewhere, I don't threaten to sue company's for "racism." This is just more PC garbage, and I'm tired of hearing about it. This is just more farleft people thinking they can milk Walgreen's for money, that's all it is. I support free exchange.
You would never get this garbage in a deregulated free market -
Has Walgreen's attacked him? Have they forced him to work? No? Then he has no leg to stand on in my book. I believe in free will, and I believe in personal responsibility:
Walgreen's has the right to hire who they want, individuals have the right to offer their labor, and they also have the right to not labor, and that's what free exchange is all about. Walgreen's offers me money for me to manage a store, and after we agree, then the contract is forged, and then we exchange in what was agreed upon until such time that either:
I'm fired
or
I quit
If they don't want to hire a black guy, that's their choice. It's their business. Don't try to sue people that make money legitimately over your own personal vendetta's. If they stick me in a "bad neighborhood," then I either stick it out, request a transfer, or I void the contract. That's it. Give a 2 weeks notice, and get a good reference, not try to sue a company for millions. What a joke.

ridiculous.
Business, just like individual citizens, have regulations, rules and laws that they abide by...or they should not have voices in the process of democracy.
Free market does not mean "do as you please and make the rules as you go"...you can in fact be brought to inquiry for certain price guttering or gauging. Should this be pulled as well? Many organisations exist to protect rights...if people did the right thing, there would be no locks, laws, rules and agencies and government bodies to oversee them.
If there is evidence to support such a charge, then they have a case.
As you are welcome to your opinion, but radical views in any government body will collaspe on itself. "Where do you draw the line?"
Free Market Economy and Free Market Trade are based on the theory of Capitalism...which was created by the same man who created the theory of Communism, German man named Karl Marx. In reality, neither really exist in their pure form.
Unions, anti-discrimination laws, social security, civil liberty rights, freedom of speech, etc. would not exist if everyone did the "right" thing.
By the way, your definition of free market didnt help Microsoft this week as they are faced with a 899 million sanction by the EU for poor and bad business process.
again, where do you draw the line?
