Perhaps I missed something, but if a site is deemed "Free Republic: Defending the Constitution," which part of a controlled discussion is free, republican, or conscious of the Constitution? I grow more and more wary of those who purport to hold the Constitution sacred without knowing one bit of what is included in the document. I, as a liberal, am accused to "stooping to new levels" all over that Web site, but certainly I've never stooped as low as this.
In one word: pathetic.

"Absolute Power"! Dissent is "fast disappearing" in this country. Even intelligent debate against the current admin is dismissed as "unpatriotic" and "evil".
Just read this statement by a Republican in IL:
In fact, Republican Jim Oberweis, who flanked Keyes onstage along with other GOP candidates who lost in the primary to Ryan, called the race with Obama no less than "a
debate between good on the right and evil on the left."
So..are you surprised that the "FREE REPUBLIC" isn't really free..
