Isarel stopping fire=end of Israel existence
Palestinian stopping fire=coexistence
The idea that the Palestinians would stop if Israel was nicer is wrong and destructive. The Palestinians hate the very existence of Jews and therefore Israel. It has nothing to do with what Israel is doing.
And no, Israel does not, in turn, hate the very existence of Palestinians. We just strongly desire that they stop harboring animosity toward us. Israel is the victim, and the Palestinians are the malicious aggressors.
Israel is begging for peace, while the Palestinians are begging for the end of Israel.
The fact that Israel is often perceived as the bad guy only demonstrates what is wrong with the world, and shows why world opinion (popularity) doesn't make right, doesn't alter the truth of the situation, and shouldn't matter one bit.
