Albanian prime minister Mustafa Kruja, in a June, 1942 speech made in Kosovo, [at that time part of a fascist Greater Albania] then called the “New Albania”, stated:

“The Serbian population of Kosovo should be removed as soon as possible. All indigenous Serbs should be qualified as colonists and as such, via the Albanian and Italian government, be sent to concentration camps in Albania. Serbian settlers should be killed.”

In the US “Philadelphia Bulletin” newspaper article entitled
“On the Wrong Side in Kosovo,” by Joseph Puder of the Interfaith Taskforce for America and Israel, Puder wrote:
Quote:

“The [Albanian] “Skanderbeg” SS division.partook in the rounding up of Jews who were sent to their death in Bergen Belsen and other Nazi death camps. Bedri Pejjani, a Kosovo Muslim was appointed by the Nazis to rule occupied Kosovo and set out to establish a greater Islamic state in the region with the blessing and support of Haj Amin al-Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Hitler’s protégé and friend.”

At the beginning of the 20th century, Serbian Christians comprised about two-thirds of Kosovo's population. Muslim Albanians were about one third. As a result of WWI, about 800,000 Serbs were killed. During WWII, Yugoslav Serbs refused to join the Nazis resulting in the massive destruction of Yugoslavia and the killing of about a million Serbs and Jews. After the Nazi invasion in 1941, Serbia was divided between the Italians and Bulgarians who encouraged pro-Nazi Albanians to attack the Serbs and destroy ancient Serb Orthodox churches and shrines.
In 1943, Nazi Germany created the 21st SS "Skanderbeg" a division made up of Muslim Albanian volunteers who proceeded to ethnically cleanse the area of Serbs and Jews (albeit, some Bosnian and Albanian Muslims did hide and save Jews during the war) resulting in the murder of hundreds of thousands of Serbs and Jews in Croatian death camps.

During World War 2, Kosovo was annexed to Albania by Mussolini and Hitler in order to create a Greter Albania in keeping with the wishes of Greater Albanian fascists and their programme of creating a fascist Greater Albania dating back to the Albanians’ 1878 League of Prizren.
During the Holocaust in World War 2, the Albanian fascists in Kosovo formed the “Balli Kombetar” fascist party allied with Hitler and Mussolini and many thousands volunteered to join the Hitler-Himmler created “Skanderbeg” Waffen SS division and the SS “Handzar” division in Bosnia.
Albania in 1941 was under Italian Axis rule. After Mussolini’s capitulation in late 1943, Albania was under German Axis rule. Greater Albania was thus a Nazi puppet state of the Axis powers.
Sarner twisted and distoted the facts about what really happened during WW2 by failing to mention that during the Holocaust in Yugoslavia, it was IN KOSOVO ITSELF that the Albanians in the Waffen SS Nazi Skanderbeg division slaughtered the Jews, Serbs and Romanies!
Between 10,000 to 30,000 Serbs were murdered and over 100,000 Serbs were brutally expelled by the Albanians.
Here is an excerpt from an article by George Thompson entitled,
The Roots of Kosovo fascism
Quote:
...Mussolini’s Italy occupied Albania in April 1939, and established a collaborationist regime with the apparent enthusiasm of most Albanians.[1] After Hitler invaded and occupied Yugoslavia in spring 1941, the bulk of the Serbian province of Kosovo-Metohija was placed under Italian-Albanian collaborationist control and annexed to Albania.[2]
Similarly, Kosovo Albanian leader Ferat-bey Draga, said that
the “time has come to exterminate the Serbs […] there will be no Serbs under the Kosovo sun.”[11]
The anti-Serb pogroms intensified after Italy’s collapse in September 1943. The German Nazis assumed control of Albania, including Kosovo. Italian military units pulled out and were replaced by three divisions of the German XXI Mountain Corps. The German presence gave the Albanians a free hand.
Kosovo Albanian nationalist militias called the Balli Kombëtar (or Ballistas) carried out a campaign of deportation and murder of Serbs in 1943 and 1944. Then, on Hitler’s express order, the Germans formed the 21st Waffen-Gebirgsdivision der SS - the Skanderbeg Division. With German leaders and Kosovo Albanian officers and troops, Hitler aimed to use the Skanderberg Division to “achieve its [i.e., Germany’s] well-known political objective” of creating a “Greater Albania” including Kosovo, minus Jews, Serbs and Romany.
