You can understand the "desire" to be accepted and revered with a lineage of shame. The desire to be something special. So much so that even the great wealth and nation given through God's gracefull, fullfilled promises was not enough.. Mohammad wanted to be "something more" He wanted the world to see him as a Prophet.. a messenger of GOD. When the Jews rejected Mohammad, it crushed his ego.. so out came the sword.

All people can be forgiven and saved though.. individually through repenting and accepting Jesus.

I have always thought that the creation of Israel was the main reason for the turmoil in this region. They both share the most scared places within their respected religions in the same location. It is without saying that this conflict will never have a dual solution period! I find it strange you used the word invention. Christianity is also an invention by your reasoning. Isn’t it wonderful how his invention has turned out Christians versus Muslims; where have we seen this kind of philosophy?
