Yeah, that pretty much sums it up for me. I've just always had a problem with the idea that I could live a good life, help people, work hard, not commit crimes, raise a family, but not adhere to a religion and I wouldn;t get into heaven. But a guy who has committed crimes, only cared about himself and live a meaningless existence, but finds Jesus in the end, asks for forgiveness and marches right through the pearly gates. It just eludes me. I know that doesn't apply to all religions, but it does to some.
