Your so called e.g. is irrelevant. The term "Greater Albania" was used only after Albania was actually made smaller. Just like Kosova was annexed to Yugoslavia; Chameria was annexed to Greece, Ilirida to FYROM etc. This was done at the London Conference back in 1913. The Great Powers decided to create a "rump Albania", which included only about half of the Albanian population in the area; the other half was left outside the boundaries of the newly created Albanian state.

So this so called "Greater Albania" in fact would only be the real Albania. (However, just like the Albanian political leaders, I'm not advocating any change of borders. ) Both the political leaders of Albania and The Republic Of Kosova, have made great efforts to assure other countries in the region and the wider world that they have no interest in redrawing the borders of Albania.

This so called "Greater Albania" is used as a Bogeyman by the Albanophobes.
