Okay, I'm going to pick up here, because I think this is where we disagree, right?
I post the amount of dead or wounded on the thread to try and make a point - these are the actions or reactions which result from this war. I see how you believe I am politicizing, but let me try and explain I am not. First, I am against the war and you are for it, there we also disagree. Because the subject is so sensitive, I may add the post was not to give people like you or I an account of the war. We already have developed ideas and have seen this kind of thing in first person. Everyone has already heard of the terrorists, etc., being the perpetrators of hate against Iraqis. We should not deny they also have reason to hate American troops. If we let this happen, we are left in denial as new opposition arises from the state of Iraq. We simply
must allow all perspectives of this war. Whether a few of those ideas come from corrupt US soldiers or the reality of death - which is placated here in the states. If someone knows and sees the reality of war, they will think twice before attempting it a second time so tersely. I could also post terrorists blowing up US soldiers, but I have chosen not to because the general public already knows this. I will also make clear that what I posted on torture and the innocent deaths do not correlate. Torture is not death. The overall intent was never to politicize, but to take people away from 'tv reality' and move them a step closer to 'world reality'. We have a synthetic society which needs to be awoken with a jolt of life or death once in a while, in order to understand the true nature of war.
