Ironically referencing a book is usually considered better than an internet link, but around here it is unlikely anyone has access to that book to verify.
You'd think, though, if they had said something like that it would be referenced on a wide range of websites.
So if you want people to believe you Gadfly I suggest you spend a little time and find a handful of those sites. Or if you actually have the book scan the pages and the pages where the author tells where he got those quotes and host them on photobucket and link them here.

No, that isn't what he tried to say...The site he pasted from claimed that the quote they used came from this/that source for Thomas Jefferson alone...If you look at the supposed quote of Washington's, the source claims something that the AA Appleton and Co. wrote...Franklin's supposedly by the claims of being overheard by a Charles Pinckney...
All supposition and gossip, but no actual documentation of those founding father's having said such things...
AND Fly copied/pasted word-by-word what his site had written...None of it was his own words or addition. Go look at the link he finally attached to his first post. Not one word was an original thought or phrase by himself. It was from the American Defense League...And there's another site, the Palanstinian Defense League site, with the same exact page as well.
