The implication is that the book is by David Ben Gurion. In fact the real author is not even mentioned, nor is the page number. Here is the actual book & authorship:

I don't know if that quote is in there as written or not, but I suspect not. I bet your friend mona baker didn't read it either, but copied it from some other 'source' , and is passing it on just like you did.
