A potential life would be the period before the heart starts beating - when the conception is a collection of cells that hasn't implanted in the womb yet. When there is a heart beat and it actually has to die to stop growing, that's life.

Of course - you're referring to what the law says, not what actual science tells us. Ohhh how interested I would be to see what would happen to your attitude if and when the law changed.
