Absolutely it matters. I'm surprised that it hasn't come out sooner. If i attended a church and my pastors veiws were far different from mine or offensive to me I wouldn't go there. He knew this man for decades. Considers him a mentor. He knew exactly what Wright was about. It goes to show that we have allowed a double standard. If you look at the his churches black ethics and goals you would see how extreme this church is. They glorify all things African but not American. Now how do we elect a man who attended this church and embraced their ideals? How much different is this than ex-Klansman David Duke running for Govenor of Louisiana? Duke at least came out against his past, Obama has not. Hate isn't OK if it's Black in origin, no more than if it's White.
