I truly supported the move to dissemble the UN. It's a worthless organization. Yes, it creates entangling affairs between countries who would otherwise remain neutral. I disagree with our involvement because we are susceptible to any and every UN discretion where a decision is reached to mobilize our participating US forces (or any nations forces in the UN, for that matter). I believe our congress should be given the sole right to allow a military operation of any kind. I also believe a congressional declaration of war is necessary to prevent engagements for the 'spread of democracy' such as Korea, Vietnam, and Iraq.
