It's not a foregone conclusion that US/China relationship will go south, plus I don't think they do seek our destruction. However, eventually they will expect to be treated as an equal partner. That or we kill each other. I prefer the former.
Anyhooo China is an ancient conservative culture that has changed very slowy.. and they've managed to live with most of earth without causing too much trouble. I don't see why they'd go apesh8t all of a sudden.
