Oh...and as for whether Iran is an oligarchy:

Quote:
ol·i·gar·chy /ˈɒlɪˌgɑrki/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[ol-i-gahr-kee] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun, plural -chies.
1. a form of government in which all power is vested in a few persons or in a dominant class or clique; government by the few.
2. a state or organization so ruled.
3. the persons or class so ruling.

We choose to elect people from one of two major parties in the US. But we are not limited to those parties. We can vote for whoever we want. I could even write-in myself, and it would be a valid vote.

Iranians do not have that luxury. They cannot vote for anyone the Guardian Council dissapproves of. So when you said Iran was no different from us, that statement is fact factually incorrect.
