Now, I am what I guess you could call a conservative, and I was adopted at birth. My biological mother was 16 years old. I am 29 years old now, and met my biological mother and siblings about five years ago. They were exactly what I expected to see.

My biological mother (note that I keep calling her my bio mother, that is because she is not my mother) had just gotten out of prison because ten years prior she had been convicted of dealing meth (for the second time), my biological brother was still in prison for grand theft auto (he stole a car the week before he was due to ship off to basic for the Army, and had a long rap sheet before that, he was going to be a cook). Ricky has two children, both girls (want to guess at which profession they will take?).

My bio sister is now twenty years old. She has three kids, with one on the way. The father of two of her children is in a federal pen because he beat her (the two youngest). The father of her oldest is in Iowa, and she ran away from him in an attempt to get away from the drugs her mom pushed on her. The father to be is currently in holding for pushing, and child prostitution.

As I have said before, I am a Marine with a decade of time in sevice with a great career. BUT while the six direct grandchildren from my bio mother have almost ZERO chance at a productive life. My two children are doing well. I have helped my country, I have made my mother (My real MOTHER) proud, and have given my children a good start at life. Patrick (My oldest) has already surpassed his peers, and several grades above him. He is FOUR YEARS OLD (That means he is in PRESCHOOL). Imagine what the kid will be like later on. If he keeps on the path (and if we can keep him on that path)!

Now all of the above does not mean that I am against abortion. IF that mother does not intend on giving that child to a GOOD home, and intends on raising it by herself (please remember that MANY children do well from this type of household), then that child may be better off meeting the maker before it can make the mistakes life deals us.

But given a PROPER chance, it can succeed.

If you keep it (I call it, it because as a father, it is easier to think that way) then you may just be setting that child up for failure. That sir or madam. Is ON YOUR conscious. Kill someone, or set someone up for success.

Take it from someone that has been to Afghan twice Iraq twice, and several other places in between, and before. Killing is not too hard (it hurts, but it aint hard). BUT easy is never worth it!!

Make the choice yourself. But be willing to live with it
