My two best friends are adopted. One from the Philippines at age 3, with her 5-year-old sister, and the other as a baby, here in Western Australia. Both sets of parents are extremely conservative. And one of them, very religious (the two Philippino girls were adopted when her parents were missionaries).

They are not the only adopted children I know. Conservatives adopt babies all the time.
