Your point doesn't need disputing, unless you want to call the veterans liars. They were with Kerry when these events occured, and there CANNOT be two versions. They state quite clearly what they saw, and they differ so dramatically from Kerry's interpretation of events that only one group can be telling the truth. The book backs up its facts with footnotes and interviews from dozens of people; so far I've seen nothing similar from Kerry or his campaign.
For my part, I'm more willing to believe these combat veterans (who have never been involved in politics before) who served in Vietnam far longer than the few months Kerry was there collecting his medals like bottlecaps.
