Is it reparations from slavery?
Ridiculous. People who don't even remember which of their family members were enslaved should not have to receive additional benefits from people who aren't necessarily descended from slave owners. The whole idea is just plain illogical.

Is it job equality?
Can't say this is it either - opportunities are out there, they just have not taken advantage of them.

Is it inequality in schools?
Same as above.

Is it "victimization" from "Whitey?"
This isn't happening anymore either... list is getting short.

One thing they might be looking for is a release from ignorance. A lot of the black communities have black people that are trying to be successful, but are held down by other blacks. I don't exactly understand how this happens, but I have to put at least partial blame on the parents - they are the ones that should be raising their children, not the "streets."

Another thing that should be addressed is gang-related activity. I think this may be one of the largest deterrents to forward progress and the prisons are not helping by acting as recruitment centers and "schools" where gang members go to learn about their gang and how to operate within one.

Probably other things I can think of, but it's getting late - I'll add more later if I can think of any.
