No names, but can anyone count the number of personal insults in this specific post? I count 5. Personal vendetta? Or, unwillingness of some members to follow forum rules? You tell me.
Catz and raytri are completely right. The above is a waste of time for the person who wrote it as well as the person who reads it. It's meaningless and as Catz said, "Einstein" was not the reason for the edit.
As for mods applying the rules equally, you cannot expect all of us to have exactly the same opinion at all times. It ain't gonna happen. There's too much gray area. The idea that Catz has some kind of personal vendetta is ridiculous. You don't see every edit a mod makes so you have no basis to make such a judgment. I have seen Catz edit far right-wingers, far lefties and everyone in between. Catz is as fair as a mod can be.

the reason i say your argument is erroneous is that you have attributed the Einstein comment, written by someone else in another post, to be a part of the above response that i posted (my work can be readily identified by the frequent misspelling, in this instance as "down" was written as done*). so 12th your comment
"It's meaningless and as Catz said, "Einstein" was not the reason for the edit" is not germane to the identified post. Catz alluded to the OP's use of Einstein and threw my recent post in to illustrate her take on what constitutes a personal insult.
i still do not find "i can't dumb it down* to the point you can comprehend it" as a personal insult. to me, that was a factual response to this poster to whom my remark was directed: "Some day
you people will seek to answer those questions. Until that day, could you please word the questions in a less annoying tone of writing?" to place it in context, that poster has previously indicated he needs my posts to be less complex so that he can understand them, and at that prior time i did indicate he did not show any Einsteinen qualities. [for reference, i used Einstein's quote "make things as simple as possible but not simpler" to illustrate that the forumite unreasonably wanted things dumbed down to an impossible point]
"could you please word the questions in a less annoying tone of writing?" is a challenge i cannot ignore [this use of the present, rather than the past tense is deliberate]. and if it causes me to be banned, then so be it. i thought i had been able to craft language in response to the provocative remark which would not allow it to be deemed an insult ... but it was intended as a slap back and apparently catz saw it for what it was. while i do not agree, i have no option but to accept it, other than explaining my reasoning.
i am willing to be as decent as any forumite we have; i am also willing to be as surely as any mean spirited forumite who posts. youth and ignorance do not excuse the absence of grace. response will be in kind ... and if it is not already obvious, i admit that i do not suffer fools well. don't you agree 12th?
