I remember that being brought up when it was new in another site (maybe this one too). It's funny because the same people who usually call anything academic false because of "liberal bias" are flocking to this nutjob because he tells them what he wants to hear.

Of course I read his reasoning more as a reason why I think much of the field of psychiatry is mostly garbage (something I thought many conservatives agreed with me on).
He takes a bunch of ad homs about "how liberals think" and calls them mental illness in the same logic ivory tower psychologists deem every incconvenient emotional or mental state as a "pathology."

But since he's the one ivory tower academic that tells y'all what you want to hear, you'll buy his book. I have to give him props for his marketing strategy there.
