A few years ago, FrontPageMag.com columnist Paul Marek wrote an article titled “Why the Peaceful Majority Is Irrelevant”. His thesis was that even if the majority of Muslims abhor violence, it doesn’t matter because “the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history.... The hard quantifiable fact is, that the ‘peaceful majority’ is the ‘silent majority’ and it is cowed and extraneous.”

For Marek, the upshot is this: “We must pay attention to the only group that counts: the fanatics who threaten our way of life.”

He’s wrong. No, he’s worse than wrong, because his position could be used to justify mass murder.[/quote]

WW2 was a war of sovereign nations... to suggest that the German and Japanese populations were innocent is preposterous beyond measure. They were as guilty as their governments. Just as we are as guilty as our government, even during the period 1991 - 2000 when I parted company with our government, I am still liable because I didn't do anything to stop it. I didn't take a stand at Waco when the Democrats gassed and burned two dozen innocent children... nor did I take a stand when our government flew to the side of Islamic terrorists in Bosnia... granted, it was a tough call, side with the terrorists or the communists... but we let the government lie to us about 'genocide' when there was no such thing... we killed tens of thousands of innocent people who were just defending themselves from Islamic terrorists and had every right to do so…

But I did, I believe, have some effect on a number of guys that left the service, rather than serve under a thoroughly corrupt President... so perhaps that's something...

But the suggestion that the silent majority of Islam is not complicit is just foolishness. It’s classic leftist relativism…just as Hussein Obama is culpable for his having regularly attended a church that sponsors black hatred of whites and sets it highest honor upon the Nation of Islam, so the members of Mosques that allow their leaders to preach against our nation are responsible for the acts of violence which she endures by their membership.
