I'm actually no fan of Islam and Sharia law which I consider totalitarian ideologies which violate basic humans right and freedoms, but, I have to acknowledge that Islamic governments are very effective in keeping peace and order and are less restrictive than many Socialist dictatorships. Believing that all people and societies are the same and could life by the same laws in an illusion, the capacity for liberty in people is not equally shared among races and some forms of governments work better for some people than others.
Islamic governments appears to work even in black-Africa where most other forms of organization apart from totalitarian dictatorships otherwise usually fail utterly! Therefore, I believe that for some people Islam is probably the lesser evil.
