My view as a Homeschool parent and practicing Christian:


Evolution has been proven beyond any doubt. The theories of its mechanism are still being discussed and debated but it is most assuredly the way life on Earth came to be.


Creation is a religious concept invented by archaic men to explain what was then unexplainable. Many old religions have a version of it, but it is not science and should not be taught as such.


However, parents have authority over their own children and many choose to teach creation as a science. That is their choice.
