Even if I were to agree with the above premise, which I don't, Islamism seems to be the ideology which is currently engaged in massacres across the globe at present, thus the intent on focusing my post on that ideology. We can't do anything to change the past, we must do something to deal with the present.
You know, I do understand that there was once something called The Inquisition. It was born out of ignorance and fear in the dark ages and had many other curcumstances which were mitigating reasons (such as the black plague) as to why people did what they did. I also understand that there have been wars over religious differences.
But, neither in the case of Judaism or Christianity do I see a call for total world domination, destruction and death to infidels as a basic and overall doctrinal tenant of the faith itself. This is a major difference and is what distinguishes Judaism and Christianity as brotherly religions of a loving God as opposed to the doctrine of "jihad" which is such a basic requirement of a dispicable god known as "allah".
