I live by those rules; and so do my family and friends (luckily, I have not haters in my family, but those poor bitter souls out there still get nothing but love from me). I'm not perfect, but I do my best to be open minded and loving towards all.
As for my religion, I like to call myself a "Christian-Buddhist", as I agree with Jesus on many philosophies, but see Buddhism as a more pure form of spirituality, which focuses on nature and the soul, instead of dogma.
Back to the point: do any of our politicians try to live by the words of Jesus?
Out of the three candidates, Obama gets the best score for living by the words of Jesus. His words emphasize healing and cooperation over hate, and he's yet to attack anybody on non-policy related fronts.
But as for all the misguided souls showing hate towards him, they are NOT Christians (a true Christian does not hate). Jesus would never approve of the kind of attacks being directed at Obama.
