Think for a moment how an Iraqi must think after having a son or daughter killed by a weapon meant to liberate them?
They would grow to hate us.
So while we condemn the Jihadist who uses human shields, decapitates civilian contract workers, uses a Mosque as a weapons cache, and kills their fellow Muslim...by the same token, we ourselves are brutal.
That is the ambiguity of warfare.
There is no purity in it.
It is of course necessary sometimes, but it's something to really ponder before committing action.
It is like killing a person just to cure them of cancer.
That maybe a poor analogy, but it's late in the day and I'm tired.
take care.
