I don't think that's a proper definition of socialism but anyways, I picked other. Somewhere in between socialism and capitalism. IMO certain things are better left to the state. To avoid monopolies with basic services and for the welfare of the economy/people (roads, sewage control, education, ect). Note that the state has to be democratic in nature.

What most of the first world countries today provide is close enough to my ideal.
