As long as that state is democratic, then yes. This could include methods like a complete voucher system with standardized testing, which I am interested in, yet not 100% convinced. But the main point is that the state should provide funding for the education for all kids. IMO, a laissez-faire approach would end up damaging the economy, cause social problems, and possibly endanger basic freedoms (bad political agendas could arise from uneducated supporters)
