US imperialist foreign policy since WW2 has worked on the basis of 'my enemies enemy is my friend' as the basis for its policy of divide and rule. This policy they learnt from the British during their colonial period before WW2.

But what the US policy makers have not taken account of is the fact that eventually their enemies enemy will eventually become their enemy if justice and reparations remain unfullfilled. In other words, eventually the chickens come home to roost. The enemy of the US's enemy that the US befriended are betrayed so naturally they get angry as a result of this betrayal.

We then have what is called 'the blowback effect' whereby those who are betrayed retaliate with violence. This is essentially what 9-11 was all about. Another way of looking at it is to use the analogy of the pressure cooker. The boiling water in the pressure cooker will eventually rise to the surface and spill out beyond the confines of the cooker just as the anger of a human beings whose family members have been killed as a result of US foreign policy double standards will transform his anger into violence if a solution based on equittable justice is not forthcoming.

US double standards in terms of foreign policy and the lack of equittable redress to the individuals concerned is the root cause of all the anger and violence directed against the US government and its client states throughout the world. So this explains for example the Palestinian anger and violence against the Israeli's, the Serbs anger against the Kosovan Albanians, the Iraqi's hatred of the US occupation of their country and frankly explains why virtually all of central and South America have an innate hatred of Uncle Sam and the gangsters in the Whitehouse.

You see unless and until we have justice in the world based upon the right to self-determination of nations in the world, there can be no peace. In other words, justice is a pre-condition for peace. Rumsfeld when referring to Venezuela, famously exclaimed: "Why did God put OUR oil in other people's countries'?" This comment neatly sums up the US government's imperialist mindset and attitude in a nutshell. You see as far as the US government is concerned, the rest of the world, particularly central and south America and nations that are rich in oil, are merely America's backyard. This explains why people like me hate the arrogance of your government and all it represents.
