Actually there is some evidence, though it is pretty weak. It is known that Zen had reached areas of the World where Jesus traveled at some point early in his life and, of course, the extreme similarity between hundreds of his quotes and Zen koans makes a coincidence extremely hard to believe. On the other hand, the literal Son of God would clearly know everything, including Zen.

Sensitive subject for 'Christians", I know, but not silly. One first has to realize that Jesus spoke in koans before one could understand the koans. I think a great many Christians misinterpret Jesus because of this failure and because the Christian Church over the years, of course, has abused and twisted the words of Christ to justify what he would condemn. Still, I am not saying I have issues with Christians or anything. I think they absorbed the most important elements of Christ's message, just not the most uplifting.
