Truth is truth, no matter what part of the world you live in. Jesus did not need to be exposed to Buddhism in order to speak the truth. And if you take a few minutes and do a quick online search, you will find all sorts of dissimilarities between buddhism and what Jesus taught.

Sensitive subject for 'Christians",
Not for me, I am completely insensitive.

Certainly unnecessary.

I think a great many Christians misinterpret Jesus because of this failure and because the Christian Church over the years, of course, has abused and twisted the words of Christ to justify what he would condemn. Still, I am not saying I have issues with Christians or anything. I think they absorbed the most important elements of Christ's message, just not the most uplifting.
Depends on which church you go to.
