The very definition of Hypocrit
Quote:
|
Asked why Bush should be responsible for an ad by an independent group with the same legal status as MoveOn, Eli Pariser, the PAC's executive director, said: "They're clearly a surrogate organization. The Bush campaign has a responsibility for what's being done on its behalf. Certainly if Kerry felt MoveOn was doing something he didn't agree with, he has every right to condemn our ads."

For Eli Pariser to hold President Bush responsible for the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth ads and not hold John Kerry to moveon.org's is the epitome of hypocrisy.
For either candidate to single one of those organizations and condemn and/or priase one is to court disaster. It's a violation of the law. They cannot coordinate with the candidates, so the independent organizations are loose cannons. At least President Bush was smart enough to condemn all 527's. I wonder why Kerry hasn't, do you? When Pariser says Kerry "has every right to condemn our ads" he's coming close to getting Kerry into trouble.
