On the other hand, I think Albanian will fall somewhere and fall really hard. Big powers are on their side now but things change, people change and foreign politics of some countries change as well. I mean, 20 years ago who could have predicted the fall of Yugoslavia. It happened and who know what future holds. I definitely think that Albanians are going to bite for more because they feel invincible at this moment and they are backed up by big powers.
If Serbia chooses right leaders we will have a different story in the next 10 years. Kosovo's economy is pretty much non-existent. Serbia is still paying off a huge loan that Kosovo owes (and will continue because they feel it is still Serbian land) and Kosovars live of off drug traficking. If that is taken away from them they will have nothing to fall back on. Also, when their natural resources are taken out the country will have less appeal to US and therefore less support. We will definitely see what future holds and we will see who is right.
There's alot of assumptions there. But I don't expect any less.
Anywho, The Republic of Kosova is independent, and there's no turning back after this.
It's been less than two months, since Kosova declared independence. One can't expect things to change over a night, but they will, slowly but surely.
