Default Should Just Anyone be Allowed to Vote?

Should Just Anyone be Allowed to Vote?

If someone can't find the United States on a map, should they be allowed to vote?

We don't let just anyone pick who's allowed to be a surgeon, why don't we have the same standards (or indeed better) for selecting the president?. After all a surgeon can only kill one person at a time but a bad president can kill, well potentially, everyone.
