Radio shows strategically place the ads at the times when people are most likely to tune in, such as on the hour, and half hour.
What this means is that Rush is so popular that people won't even change the station during the ads, which is what making money in radio is all about.
For perspective:
Limbaugh's ads are nearly 5 times as popular as Err America's ratings are in the liberal bastion of WLIB-AM New York, which averages a 1.2 share!
