Only if you own property. Just like if you own stock, you feel pretty good when that company does well. Since my city is kicking ass financially (and paying for all your federal funded programs with our hard work), investments are rising, and this type of success should be noted and replicated, so we don't get left with the bill because poor conservative states can't pay for the their own infrastructure.
