I think no. Voting is a privledge not a right, we have no problem taking that voting rights away from people who have been convicted of federal crimes, why not the same action for people that can't support themselves.
Welfare is now called T.A.N.F. Temporary assistance to needy families. These recipients are raising a child or children. They need a little help. Deny them the vote? That is just silly and mean-spirited.

You might as well disenfranchise the entire population. Most people vote based on 1 min. T.V. ads
