How would elliminating the federal education program make education better? It would allow good schools to get better because of the extra money that people have but then public schools would not get enough funding in most areas, and therefore get worse. I don't think the states would make their schools better if the federal programs were elliminated because some states would try and cut their education programs as much as they could.
Some education would get better but it would split the schools into good private schools and bad public schools much more, and poorer families would normally go to the bad public schools.
