There isn't really any such thing as a 'normal' family nowadays. We have children being raised by single parents, some children are raised by aunts or uncles, even grandparents. We have children in foster homes, we have adopted children etc. I don't think there is a 'normal' family. Any family in which a child is loved and thrives, is normal, to me.
