From a maturity standpoint, why would a 16 year old girl be hanging out with a 16 year old boy? Why wouldn't an 18 year old guy have more in common with a 15 year old girl? Just on a baseline.

I've dated women 10-12 years older than me that were less mature than myself. I've dated women 10 years younger than me that were in many ways more mature than me.

Maturity and age are not the same thing. Nor are wisdom and intellect. Law should not be concerned with motivation but free will, regardlesss of motivation. In the real world people often have sex because they are amorous. That alone. No power trip, no mental issues just plain old having an itch to scratch. Who it's with is a matter of attraction and availability.


I might sleep with a woman that shares my exact birthdate for less than sterling reasons and vice versa. Happens all the time.
